Joan Colom (Barcelona, 1921) is one of the most important photographers of the second half of the twentieth century, one of the great renovators of post-war photography and was, without pretending it, the pioneer of photojournalism in our country.

This book, with more than 500 photographs, covers his entire career, including some of the best known images taken almost clandestinely in the 1960s in Barcelona's Chinatown: black-and-white photos of street people who have become icons. But also the most unpublished Colom through the reports made since the 1990s, where it incorporates color, and which are now shown to the public for the first time.

"I do the street. With my photographs I seek to be a kind of notary of an era." Joan Colom, 1999.
