With the presence of artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Edward Weston and Paul Strand, as well as the Mexican Manuel Álvarez Bravo, the 1930s in Mexico was a real golden age of photography and a seminal period in the history of this discipline. Within the avant-garde, Agustín Jiménez became a central figure; however, his work has been incomprehensibly despised to this day.

This book reproduces with great care more than 400 images of Jiménez -most of them originally appeared in publications of the period-, together with a study by Carlos Córdova that focuses on the most prolific years of the photographer (1928-1938): "a unique moment... that definitely changed the sense of photography".
