Tatiana Sardá's new photobook, El agua es como la piel (Water is like skin), invites us to contemplate the profound connection between human beings and the sea. This visual and sensory project, developed over years of capturing and editing images, explores the essential and poetic link between water and skin.

Tatiana describes the origin of this project as a natural process, driven by her fascination with the sea and its many emotions—from melancholy to happiness. Through a series of images depicting people, rocks, and natural elements, Sardá explores how the sea, more than just a landscape, represents a space of connection with our animal nature and our sense of belonging. According to the author, “seawater humanizes us through the senses,” offering a visual narrative that unfolds on every page of the book.

The photobook was carefully edited in collaboration with Andrea Aguad, who also contributes a reflective text that enriches the reader's experience.

“I want those who read this book to remember their emotions towards the sea, to miss it and feel it as part of their lives. They can see it as a contemplative landscape, a desire to be there or to reflect on the emotions of those in the water. Each person can delve deeper from their own interest.”
