Georgia is the name of the ship in which a certain Ljubiša Danilovic, a young Montenegrin of nineteen, embarked in 1906, dreaming of an elsewhere full of promise. It is in Butte, a mining town in the United States, in Montana, that he finally disembarked, like many Montenegrins or Italians at the time.
Ljubiša Danilovic imagines that in 2021 he will travel from his native Montenegro to the United States, making a journey comparable to those that thousands of migrants must undertake today throughout the world, of this namesake of whom he knows nothing, apart from the mention of his name on a document of the time listing the passengers of the Georgia.

By mixing in this book photographs of the city of Butte, of a Montenegro offering no horizon to young adults dreaming of elsewhere, of a nostalgic Montenegro, the one of his childhood, of migrants met in Paris, Calais or Sarajevo, and of others having spent their life far from their country of birth..., Ljubiša Danilovic speaks with the same voice of the small history but of course also of the Great History of the exile
