For this first publication dedicated to the garden of the Musée des impressionnismes de Giverny, designed by landscape architect Mark Rudkin and featuring more than 22,000 planted flowers, the Museum gave Terri Weifenbach carte blanche to tell the story of a year in the garden.

The American photographer was inspired by the Impressionists who stayed nearby a century and a half ago. Under her lens, the colours of nature are evoked in brushstrokes and become visual sensations. Thanks to her photographic mastery, Terri Weifenbach succeeds in recreating the different seasons and the power of the colours for which the place is famous, and invites us to take a pictorial and contemplative walk through the pages. A text by Cyrille Sciama, director of the Museum, accompanies this journey.
